So, I'm mostly unpacked. Still have various piles of shit-that-I-don't-need-till-next-semester, but we haven't found anywhere to put those yet, so they're just going to stay piles of shit-that-I-don't-need-till-next-semester.

There is a lot of stuff I should be doing right now, namely calling two of my friends, a neighbor, and bath and body works to see if i got a job there, also I need to make up flyers for babysitting/petsitting, and I desperately need to organize my closet now that all the crap that I brought back from college is back in it....but instead I'm reading fanfiction and posting. XD yay, priorities.

So, because I'm trying to get all of my various writing tidbits up online, for absolutely no reason whatsoever, I present my college essay. In 11th grade, our teacher had us doing a lot of practice college essays, and this was one of them. It was left virtually unchanged when I attached it to the common app and sent it in the next year.

so just in case any of you were wondering how I managed to get into Bryn Mawr.... )

This is actually an essay I wrote in 11th grade - it turned out more like a creative writing piece (surprise, surprise). We were reading/had just finished "The Scarlett Letter", and I forget what the essay's prompt was, but I ended up writing the scene with Pearl in the forest from the forest's point of view.

Wildness )

So...I suppose I should actually post some writing, as that is what I got this journal for originally. This is a prompt from creative writing (you'll see a lot of those, be warned). we were told to "expand a memory".
This is what I came up with )

Well, I'm here now, and have run and deleted some random test posts, so I suppose I should explain a bit.

In 11th grade, we did a whole bunch of practice college essays, one of which I titled "Dreamer" which I felt was as much of myself as was ever put on paper.

It could probably use some editing, but I can't edit worth anything, so it's staying as is. So, ladies and gentlemen,
